Hi, I'm Kris Barnes.
Founder and lead photographer of Blissful Knot Visuals — formerly KRSphotography_. New name, same message and quality. We're a team of elite photographers and cinematographers, and we're proud to be Austin's premier wedding photography and cinematography studio, capturing timeless love stories with artistry and elegance — from intimate elopements to grand celebrations.
Passionate, caring, funny, energetic — that's what our couples say about us, and it's exactly how we work. We genuinely care about our clients as much as the work we create for them, which is why the couples we photograph become friends and family we keep for life.
My journey started during my undergrad years as a full-time student-athlete at Texas A&M University–Kingsville, where a side hustle grew like wildfire. I went on to earn my MBA and never looked back — six years and counting of capturing special moments across Texas and around the world. We're transparent, we love to bring out the laughs, and there's never an awkward moment with us. Photography, cinematography, drone, and live streams — we'll travel or fly to wherever your story unfolds.

Frequently asked questions
Where are you based, and do you travel?+
We're based in Austin, Texas and serve couples across the Hill Country and Central Texas — Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg, San Antonio, and beyond. Statewide travel is included in our film collections, and we happily travel nationwide for destination weddings.
How do we get started?+
Send us your date and venue through the inquiry form. We'll check availability, share full pricing, and set up a quick call to make sure we're the right fit. To reserve your date we require a signed contract and a retainer — the rest is due before your wedding.
Do you offer both photography and videography?+
Yes — we're a full photo and cinematography studio, so one team captures both. Collection Two and Collection Three include a professional videographer (and two videographers in Collection Three) alongside your photographers.
When will we receive our photos and film?+
You'll get a sneak-peek gallery within days of your wedding. Full galleries are delivered in a private online gallery you can share, download, and order prints from, and film edits follow shortly after.
What if we don't see a package that fits?+
Just tell us what you have in mind. Beyond our collections we offer à la carte coverage and are always happy to build a custom package around your day.
